While Bhutan is one of the smallest countries in the world, its cultural diversity and richness are profound. This Buddhist kingdom on the Himalayas’ eastern edge, is a land of monasteries, fortresses (or dzongs), mysteries and magic, amazing food and clothing, pilgrimages, trekking and biking and dramatic geography ranging from subtropical plains to steep mountains and valleys.
To be honest, there isn’t a part of the country that we don’t want to explore from landing in Paro to visit the 155 temples and monasteries in the area to central Bhutan featuring some of the most significant and historical sites in the country to Eastern Bhutan which is unspoiled, undiscovered and an adventurers dream. Maybe if we time it right and stay long enough we can do it all. Thoughts?
